Bangladesh registered 2,907 more infections from coronavirus in the past 24 hours till Monday, bringing the number of confirmed cases in the country to 260,507.
Besides, the county has a total of 3,438 deaths linked to Covid-19 after 39 more people succumbed to the deadly virus during the period.
Of the new deceased, 35 are men and four are women. Among the total dead, 2,721 or 79.14 percent are men while 717 or 20.86 are women.

Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), came up with the information in the daily online health bulletin in the afternoon.
She said 2,067 more patients recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the number of people making recovery to 150,437.
Prof Nasima said 12,849 samples were tested in 84 labs across the country during the period. With this, a total of 1,273,168 samples have so far been tested in the country.
In comparison with the tests conducted in the last 24 hours, the infection rate is 22.62 percent while the infection rate 20.46 against total tests carried out so far, she said.
The DGHS additional director general also said against the total number of detected cases, the recovery rate is 57.75 while the mortality rate is 1.32 percent.
On Sunday, Bangladesh reported 34 deaths from coronavirus and 2,487 cases.
Meanwhile, coronavirus cases continued to soar across the world crossing the 2-crore mark on Monday.
As of Monday noon, the number of infections from the virus has reached 20,026,161 globally, according to Worldometer.
Besides, the death toll from the virus has climbed to 734,020 around the globe.
Of the currently infected 6,391,516 patients, 6,326,697 are in mild condition while 64,819 are in serious or critical condition.
So far, 12,900,625 people have made recovery from the disease in different countries.
The US is the worst-hit country with highest cases and deaths in the world at 5,199,444 and 165,617 respectively while Brazil is in the 2nd position with 3,035,582 cases and 101,136 deaths and India reported third highest 2,215,074 infections.
