Religious Affairs Secretary Dr Mohammad Nurul Islam has recovered from coronavirus.
He was discharged from the Central Police Hospital at Rajarbagh on Saturday after he tested negative.
The secretary and his wife were admitted to the hospital on August 22 after they were diagnosed with coronavirus.
He started his official duty soon after beating the virus.
Nurul Islam inquired about the overall situation of the Narayanganj air conditioner blasts that left 22 people dead and 18 others injured.
The secretary had been managing all the works after State Minister for Religious Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah died of coronavirus on June 13.
At one stage, he contracted the virus. Later, his wife and a child also tested positive for coronavirus.
