Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has advised BNP to wait until the next general election for any change in the government.
He made the advice while addressing a meeting on the review of the Bus Rapid Transit project being implemented from Gazipur to Airport virtually from his official residence.
Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, said a government is changed through election in a democratic system. "There's no situation in the country to change the government through a movement."
He said BNP will live in the fool's paradise if they dream of assuming the power through the back door.
The minister urged law enforcers to strictly ensure so that passengers follow recommended health guidelines in public transport.
He also directed for keeping the operation of mobile courts of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority and district administration on to bring discipline on roads.
