Expelled Jubo League leader Ismail Hossain Samrat has been admitted to the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases.
He was taken to the hospital on Sunday night following heart problems.
Samrat, who was sacked as the president of Dhaka South unit of Jubo League, is now undergoing treatment at the Coronary Care Unit-1 (CCU-1) of the hospital, said its Director Prof Dr Mir Jamal Uddin.
A medical board will be formed for his treatment, he said.
On Sunday, the Criminal Investigation Department of police filed a case against Samrat with Ramna Police Station for laundering over Tk 195 crore to Singapore and Malaysia.
Rapid Action Battalion members arrested Samrat and Enamul Haque Arman, also sacked vice-president of Jubo League Dhaka South unit, from Chauddagram upazila in Cumilla on October 6 last year.
