Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday said the Health Ministry has manifested enough efficiency in handling the coronavirus situation although many criticised it.
“We had been able to bring the coronavirus situation under control as they (ministry) did properly what was needed to do instantly,” she said.
The Prime Minister was addressing a programme marking the signing of the Annual Performance Agreement and integrity award distribution of the Public Administration Ministry through videoconferencing from her official residence Ganobhaban.
Sheikh Hasina said everyone worked risking their lives. “Many doctors and nurses have died.”
She said there is a section of people in the country who have the habit of criticising others.
Mentioning that all the development plans are for people, the Prime Minister said accountability will have to be ensured at every level of the administration.
She advised all to work with self-confidence, saying it determines whether “we are on the right path.”
