Seven aircraft procured from China for Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) arrived in the country on Thursday.
The aircraft landed at BAF Base Zahurul Haque in Chattogram, according to a release of the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate.
The aircraft were received at the BAF base following the traditional customs of Bangladesh Air Force.
Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat and other senior BAF officials were present.
BAF pilots carried the aircraft in a ferry flight from Dehong Mangsgi of China.
The seven China-made K-8W aircraft were procured to modernise the Bangladesh Air Force at the directives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The aircraft were brought under the government-to-government agreement through CATIC.
