Infections from coronavirus, officially known as Sars-CoV-2, have reached 39,586,899 around the world as of Saturday morning.
Besides, the virus has so far claimed the lives of 1,109,130 people globally, according to tracking website Worldometer.
Of the currently infected 8,819,205 patients, 8,747,736 are in mild condition while 71,469 are in serious or critical condition.
So far, 29,658,564 people have made recovery from the disease in different countries.
The US is the worst-hit country with highest cases and deaths in the world at 8,288,278 and 223,644 respectively while India has 2nd highest cases of 7,432,680 and third highest fatalities of 113,032 and Brazil has 2nd highest deaths of 153,229 and third highest cases of 5,201,570.
Bangladesh has so far confirmed 386,086 coronavirus cases and 5,623 deaths.
Coronavirus has affected 213 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances.
