Coronavirus cases around the world have surged to 39,959,269 as of Sunday morning.

Besides, the virus has so far taken the lives of 1,114,633 people globally, according to tracking website Worldometer.

Of the currently infected 8,956,052 patients, 8,884,109 are in mild condition while 71,943 are in serious or critical condition.

So far, 29,888,584 people have made recovery from the disease in different countries. 

The US is the worst-hit country with highest cases and deaths in the world at 8,342,665 and 224,282 respectively while India has 2nd highest cases of 7,494,551 and third highest fatalities of 114,064 and Brazil has 2nd highest deaths of 153,690 and third highest cases of 5,224,362.

Bangladesh has so far confirmed 387,295 coronavirus cases and 5,646 deaths.

Coronavirus has affected 213 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances.
