Covid-19: World sees record 442,055 cases in 24 hours

A record 442,055 people were diagnosed with coronavirus around the world in the last 24 hours till 10am on Thursday.

In total, the confirmed infections from the virus have surged to 41,484,634 across the globe.

Besides, the death toll from the virus has jumped to 1,136,335 globally, according to tracking website Worldometer.

Of the currently infected 9,437,420 patients, 9,363,250 are in mild condition while 74,170 are in serious or critical condition.

So far, 30,904,306 people have made recovery from the disease in different countries. Of them, 282,462 recuperated in the last 24 hours.

The US is the worst-hit country with highest cases and deaths in the world at 8,584,819 and 227,409 respectively while India has 2nd highest cases of 7,705,158 and third highest fatalities of 116,653 and Brazil has 2nd highest deaths of 155,459 and third highest cases of 5,300,649.

Bangladesh has so far confirmed 393,131 coronavirus cases and 5,723 deaths.

Coronavirus has affected 213 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances.
