Head coach of Bangladesh National Football Team Jamie Day has been diagnosed with coronavirus.
His swab test came back positive on Saturday, said Bangladesh Football Federation.
However, the 41-year-old coach has no visible symptom other than cold-related issues and he remained in isolation at his hotel room.
He also underwent follow-up test on Sunday.
The news came after Bangladesh’s 2-0 win over visiting Nepal in the first match of the two FIFA international friendlies at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday.
The hosts will take on the visitors in the second match on Tuesday when Assistant Coach Stuart Watkiss will sit in the dugout to take charge.
