Mentioning that it will be risky to reopen schools amid this Covid-19 situation, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said the government does not want to put the lives of students at stake.
She made the remarks taking part in her winding-up speech in the speech Parliament session marking the ‘Mujib Borsho’.
Noting that the second wave of coronavirus has started to hit Bangladesh, the prime minister said they have taken necessary preparations to face it. “Vaccine has also been booked in advance.”
She also urged the country’s people to remain alert and wear masks to chase away the second wave of the virus.
