Coronavirus sickened 490,777 people around the world in the past 24 hours till 10am on Monday, pushing the total Covid-19 cases to 58,985,493.
Besides, casualties from the highly contagious pathogen have reached 1,393,671, including 7,101 reported during the period, globally, according to data collated by tracking website Worldometer.
Of the currently infected 16,824,923 patients, 16,721,851 are in mild condition while 103,072 are in serious or critical condition.
So far, 40,766,899 people have made recovery from the disease in different countries.
The US is the worst-hit country with highest cases and deaths in the world at 12,588,661 and 262,696 respectively while India has 2nd highest cases of 9,140,312 and third highest fatalities of 133,773 and Brazil has 2nd highest deaths of 169,197 and third highest cases of 6,071,401.
Bangladesh has so far confirmed 447,341 cases and 6,388 deaths from coronavirus.
Coronavirus has affected 216 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances.
