The world has registered a total of 624,870 infections from coronavirus over the past 24 hours till 10am on Sunday, bringing the total to 66,855,782.

Besides, 10,096 people were killed by the virus during the period, raising the global death toll to 1,534,553, according to data collated by tracking website Worldometer.

Of the currently infected 19,079,975 patients, 18,541,022 are in mild condition while 105,982 are in serious or critical condition.

So far, 46,241,254 people have made recovery from the disease in different countries.

The US is the worst-hit country with highest cases and deaths in the world at 14,983,425 and 287,825 respectively while India has 2nd highest cases of 9,644,529 and third highest fatalities of 140,216 and Brazil has 2nd highest deaths of 176,641 and third highest cases of 6,577,177.

Bangladesh has so far confirmed 475,789 cases and 6,807 deaths from coronavirus.

Coronavirus has affected 218 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances.
