The coronavirus continued to ravage the world affecting 626,562 people in the past 24 hours till 10am on Wednesday. In total, the confirmed cases have reached 68,565,538 globally.
Besides, the death toll from virus has jumped to 1,563,009 around the world, including 12,746 registered during the period, according to data collated by tracking website Worldometer.
Of the currently infected 19,541,529 patients, 19,435,076 are in mild condition while 106,453 are in serious or critical condition.
So far, 47,461,000 people have made recovery from the disease in different countries.
The US is the worst-hit country with highest cases and deaths in the world at 15,591,709 and 293,398 respectively while India has 2nd highest cases of 9,735,975 and third highest fatalities of 141,398 and Brazil has 2nd highest deaths of 178,184 and third highest cases of 6,675,915.
Bangladesh has so far confirmed 481,945 cases and 6,906 deaths from coronavirus.
Coronavirus has affected 218 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances.
