Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday said fire stations will be established at every upazila apart from remote areas to secure people’s lives.

She also said modern equipment will be procured for Fire Service and Civil Defence.

The prime minister was inaugurating 20 fire stations, six regional passport offices, female prisons and LPG station from her official residence Ganobhaban.

She said the government wants to secure people’s lives through recruiting more manpower for fire service.

Services will be expanded with the inauguration of newly constructed digital passport offices.
