A mobile court of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has demolished a police box which was set up on a bicycle lane on the city’s Manik Mia Avenue.
DNCC Executive Magistrate Masud Hossain led the drive that continued for the second day on Monday.
During the drive, makeshift shops were knocked down from the bicycle lane.
Some of those who were evicted on Sunday have set up their shops again on Monday. Those were also removed.
Earlier on Sunday, the mobile court removed over 100 makeshift shops and vehicles illegally parked on the bicycle lane.
Executive Magistrate Masud Hossain said the bicycle lane of Agargaon will also be freed from illegal occupation.
