The digital lottery activities for admissions to govt secondary schools across the country have been postponed.

This was revealed in a notice posted on the website of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) on Tuesday night.

As per the notice, the lottery was supposed to be held today (Wednesday) for enrolling students from Class I to IX at govt secondary schools due to the coronavirus pandemic.

However, the digital lottery activities have been postponed following a writ petition pending with the High Court, it said.

The next date and time of the lottery will be informed in due time, the notice said.

Earlier on December 11, the DSHE issued notice for admissions through lottery following the approval of the Education Ministry.
