Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Friday expressed the hope that Bangladesh will go towards prosperity in the New Year with the politics returning to the positive trend from the negative one.

He came up with the hope while addressing a press conference at his official residence to greet the country’s people marking the New Year.

Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, hoped that the world which got stalled due to the coronavirus pandemic will get a new lease of life in the New Year.

He said the new bud of possibility will bloom at individual, society and state life under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. “Bangladesh will go forward to be a developed and prosperous country overcoming all the crises posed by the coronavirus.”
