Seven people were killed and two others injured as a bus crashed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Tarakanda upazila of Mymensingh district on Sunday.

The deceased could not be identified yet. They include three men, three women and a child.

Witnesses said the Dhaka-bound ‘Shahjalal Paribahan’ bus from Netrakona hit the auto-rickshaw in Gachhapara Bazar area at noon.

The accident left seven people dead on the spot, they said.

The accident also suspended vehicular movement on Mymensingh-Netrakona route.

On information, police rushed to the spot, said officer-in-charge of Tarakanda Police Station Abul Khayer.
