Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Sunday described BNP’s demand for snap election as an interim mockery.
He made the remarks while talking to reporters at the Secretariat.
Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, said BNP leaders watch the movement of police sitting at their respective residences.
He said BNP could not wage any movement like Awami League. “They couldn’t even muster courage to bring out a single procession.”
The minister said fulfilling the electoral pledges and arranging employment for jobless youths are big challenges for the government in the New Year.
He also underscored the need for durability of the present government for continuation of development.
Quader said the country’s economic progress remains as expected and the country is going forward successfully.
