A person was killed in an explosion at the UAE Visa Processing Centre in the city’s Gulshan area on Wednesday.

The deceased could not be identified yet.

Fire Service sources said windowpanes of the visa centre on the ground floor of Imperial Financial building got shattered following the explosion.

Later, a person was found dead at the AC control room.

Duty Officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence control room Rashed Shikder said the incident might have happened from AC explosion.
