Covid-19: World sees highest deaths in 24 hours

Coronavirus claimed the lives of highest 16,747 people around the world in the last 24 hours till 10am on Thursday. In total, the global death toll has reached 1,986,842.

Besides, confirmed coronavirus cases have reached 92,775,578, including 766,075 reported during the period, according to data collated by tracking website Worldometer.

Of the currently infected 24,495,291 patients, 23,826,392 are in mild condition while 112,120 are in serious or critical condition.

So far, 66,293,445 Covid-19 patients have made recovery worldwide.

The US is the worst-hit country with highest cases and deaths in the world at 23,616,345 and 393,928 respectively while India has 2nd highest cases of 10,512,831 and third highest fatalities of 151,765 and Brazil has 2nd highest deaths of 206,009 and third highest cases of 8,257,459.

Bangladesh has so far confirmed 524,910 cases and 7,833 deaths from coronavirus.

Coronavirus has affected 219 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances.
