Actor Mujibur Rahman Dilu passed away at a city hospital on Tuesday morning.
He breathed his last at United Hospitals Ltd at 6:46am, said Sanaul Kabir, duty manager at the hospital.
Dilu was moved to the intensive care unit of the hospital on January 15 following deterioration of his health.
His son Ayon Rahman on Monday said 70 per cent of his lung got infected as he had been suffering from pneumonia.
In 2005, Dilu was infected with Guillain-Barre syndrome. A bacterium attacked his blood in 2015. He was also diagnosed with two stones at his kidney.
However, he returned to normal life after treatment.
Recently, he had been suffering from lung problems.
He was taken to a hospital at Uttara on January 12 after his condition worsened and later moved to United Hospitals.
