Three amendment bills were placed in Parliament on Tuesday aiming to publish the results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations that were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
These bills are 'Intermediate and Secondary Education (Amendment) Bill, 2021', 'Bangladesh Technical Education Board (Amendment) Bill, 2021' and 'Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board (Amendment) Bill, 2021'.
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni placed the bills in the House and those were sent to the respective parliamentary standing committee for further scrutiny.
The committee was asked to submit its reports on all the bills by two days.
The minister said all the preparations have already been completed to publish the results.
The results will be published once the House passes the bills, she said.
Last year’s HSC and equivalent examinations were cancelled due to the coronavirus prevalence.
