Renowned economist and former Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank Khondkar Ibrahim Khaled, who was diagnosed with coronavirus, has been moved to the intensive care unit (ICU) of a hospital in the capital again.
The condition of the veteran banker, who got his lungs infected, started to deteriorate from Tuesday morning, said his brother Mohammad Khaled.
He has been undergoing treatment at the ICU of Bangladesh Specialized Hospital.
Mohammad Khaled said Ibrahim Khaled was moved to a cabin from the ICU earlier after his condition improved.
However, his health started to worsen again.
Ibrahim Khaled, 80, also served as the managing director of Bangladesh Krishi Bank.
