Bangladesh is going to start the mass Covid-19 vaccination across the country on Sunday.
A total of 2,400 teams will work at 1,005 hospitals throughout the country. Of them, there will be 204 teams in 50 hospitals in the capital.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), around 3.28 lakh people have registered through website www.surokkha.gov.bd as of Saturday for the vaccination.
Only registered people can take the vaccine at the vaccination centres from 8am to 2:30pm.
Those are going to receive the jab on Sunday were supposed to get a message through their mobile phones by today, said Prof Dr Mijanur Rahman, director (MIS) of the DGHS.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque will take the vaccine at Sheikh Russel Gastro Liver Institute and Hospital on the opening day.
Bangladesh has a plan to inoculate 35 lakh people against the virus in the first phase.
