Mentioning that people are fed up with hearing announcement of BNP’s movement, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Tuesday wanted to know when the party will launch the agitation.
“Twelve years have passed by for determining the aim of the movement. But in which year the movement will he launched?” he said while inaugurating a bridge on Dhaka-Aricha highway from his official residence in the morning.
Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, said BNP had taken the blind criticism of the government and its ouster as its strategy than getting party Chairperson Khaleda Zia released from jail. “People are now suspicious about its motive. BNP leaders don’t know what they want.”
Mentioning that Awami League does not believe in counter programmes, he said the ruling party is holding different programmes marking the golden jubilee of the independence and the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The ruling party leader urged BNP to stand by people instead of investing in evil politics, conspiracy and propaganda.
