The government has once again extended the closure of all educational institutions except Qawmi madrasas due to the prevalence of coronavirus.
The educational institutions will now remain closed until February 28.
The Education Ministry made the announcement on Sunday.
However, online educational activities will continue during the closure, it said.
The ministry also advised the examinees of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) to continue their study as per the shortened syllabuses.
Earlier on January 29, the government extended the closure of schools, colleges and universities until February 14 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
However, Qawmi madrasas remain outside the purview of the closure.
On March 16 last year, the government closed all the educational institutions to contain the virus.
Later, the closure was extended in several phases.
Meanwhile, last year’s HSC and equivalent, Junior School Certificate (JSC), Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC), Primary Education Completion (PEC) and Ebtedayee and annual examinations at the secondary level were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
