Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan and Inspector General of Police Dr Benazir Ahmed on Monday took their first doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.
They received the jab at the Central Police Lines Hospital in the capital.
Senior Secretary of the Public Security Division Mostafa Kamal Uddin and other senior police officials also took the vaccine.
Speaking on the occasion, the home minister said many criticised over the vaccine. “However, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave them a befitting reply bringing the vaccine. All the people are now getting the jab.”
He also urged all to receive the vaccine to free the country from coronavirus.
