Students of seven colleges affiliated with Dhaka University (DU) blocked a road in Nilkhet in the capital on Wednesday protesting the decision postponing their ongoing examinations.
They took to the street in the morning and blocked the road to realise their demand, creating traffic jam in the area.
Commuters, especially office-goers, suffered most due to the road blockade.
The striking students vowed to continue their movement until the decision postponing the examinations was revoked.
Earlier on Tuesday evening, the decision to postpone examinations was taken at a meeting of the principals of the seven colleges with the DU authorities.
Protesting the decision, the students instantly formed a human chain at the Nilkhet intersection in the evening.
