Chinese scientists have revealed how the distribution of abies trees changed in the Quaternary glacial period, providing scientific guidance for the protection of the endangered species against climate change, reports UNB.
According to the distribution patterns of abies showed in the study, the researchers suggested that enough corridors should be conserved to protect biodiversity against climate change.
5G HANDSETS SHIPMENTS
China reported accelerating shipments of 5G handsets in November as smartphone makers raced to tap the market.
A total of 5.07 million 5G smartphones were shipped last month, exceeding the combined shipments of the previous 10 months, data from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology showed.

Chinese institutions have seen rapid increase in materials science research output in the Nature Index.
According to the latest Nature Index 2019 Materials Science, a total of 43 Chinese institutions were ranked among the 50 institutions worldwide with the fastest-rising output in materials science between 2015 and 2018.
