The assistant commissioner (land) of Jashore's Jhikargacha, who was severely injured in an accident during a coronavirus awareness campaign, has been flown to Dhaka's Combined Military Hospital.

A helicopter of Bangladesh Air Force airlifted Kazi Nazib Hasan  from Faridpur Medical College Hospital to CMH, said a press release of Inter Service Public Relations Directorate (ISPR).

The AC land was severely injured after a motorcycle hit him while conducting an awareness campaign for preventing coronavirus or COVID-19 transmission in Jhikargacha Bazar on March 29.

After the accident, Nazib was immediately taken to Jashore Pongu Hospital and shifted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital as his condition worsened.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh confirmed its sixth coronavirus death and three new cases on Wednesday, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 54.
