Coronavirus cases in Bangladesh continue to set new record every day as further 1,975 infections were reported in the past 24 hours till Monday.
With this, the confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country have risen to 35,585.
Besides, 21 more deaths were reported from the virus during the period, taking the death toll in the country to 501.

This is the highest surge in coronavirus cases in the country since the first three cases were reported on March 8. Previous highest 1,873 cases were recorded on May 23.
Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), came up with the disclosure in the daily online health bulletin in the afternoon.
She said 433 more patients recovered from Covid-19 disease in the last 24 hours, taking the number of people making recovery to 7,334.
Prof Nasima said 9,451 samples were tested in 48 labs across the country in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 253,034 samples have so far been tested in the country.
On Sunday, Bangladesh reported record 28 deaths from coronavirus and 1,532 cases.
Meanwhile, the global death toll from coronavirus has reached 346,719 as of Monday morning.
Besides, it has so far infected 5,500,577 people around the world, according to Worldometer.
Of the currently infected 2,851,801 patients, 2,798,578 are in mild condition while 53,223 are in serious or critical condition.
So far, 2,302,057 people have made recovery from the disease in different countries.
Coronavirus is affecting over 213 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances.
The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11.
