The Chinese government has donated more medical logistics to Bangladesh to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

FM Borhan Uddin, director general of the Foreign Ministry, received the medical logistics at the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka on Monday, said a press release.

Representatives of the Directorate General of Health Services and Chinese Embassy here were also present.

Earlier on June 21, China said Bangladesh would get priority in terms of cooperation and support if they can successfully develop a vaccine for the coronavirus.

"Of course, Bangladesh is our important friend and Bangladesh will surely get priority," said Deputy Chief of Mission at Chinese Embassy in Dhaka Hualong Yan.

Earlier, a ten-member Chinese medical expert team visited designated hospitals, quarantine centres, and testing centres in Bangladesh.

They discussed the epidemics with Bangladeshi counterparts, and made calibrated propositions for containment and treatment.
