Coronavirus cases continued to leap across the world as 235,129 infections were recorded in the last 24 hours till 10am on Thursday.

In total, confirmed cases have reached 13,692,605, according to Worldometer. 

Besides, the deadly virus has claimed the lives of 586,839 people, including 5,618, during the period.

Of the currently infected 5,068,459 patients, 5,008,841 are in mild condition while 59,618 are in serious or critical condition.

So far, 8,037,307 people have made recovery from the disease in different countries. Of them, 190,078 recovered in the last 24 hours.

The US is the worst-hit country with highest cases and deaths in the world at 3,616,747 and 140,140 respectively while Brazil is in the 2nd position with 1,970,909 cases and 75,523 deaths.

Coronavirus has affected 213 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances.

Bangladesh has so far confirmed 193,590 coronavirus cases and 2,457 deaths.
