Detained Regent Group Chairman Shahed Karim and Managing Director Masud Parvez were taken to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court of Dhaka on Thursday.
The Detective Branch of police produced them before the court and will seek remand for them over giving false reports of corona test.
Earlier, Shahed was arrested from a boat at Lobangapati near Sakor Bazar of Debhata border in Satkhira around 5:10am on Wednesday while trying to flee to India.
An illegal firearm was also recovered from him.
Later, he was taken to the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) headquarters in the capital by a helicopter.
Rab members conducted a drive at the Uattara residence of Shahed Karim and recovered huge counterfeit currencies.
Shahed who was accused in a total of 59 cases was trying to flee to India with the help of a local smuggler.
On Tuesday, the elite force arrested managing director of the Regent Hospital Masud Parvez from Gazipur district.
Shahed had been absconding since Rab raided the Uttara and Mirpur branches of his hospital on July 6, and arrested eight people on charge of issuing fake Coronavirus test reports in addition to charging the admitted Covid-19 patients exorbitant fees.
The head office of Regent group along with the both hospitals was sealed off and 16 people, including the chairman, were sued on charge of issuing fake coronavirus test reports.
