Mashrur Reza, the father of Bangladesh’s legendry cricket allrounder Shakib Al Hasan, has been diagnosed with coronavirus.
He underwent the Covid-19 test with some corona symptoms a few days back and received the results on Sunday, determining his virus infections.
Shakib’s mother had also underwent the test, but still did not receive her result.
Earlier, former Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, left-arm spinner Nazmul Islam Apu, and former opener Nafis Iqbal had also been tested positive. But all of them have recovered.
Meanwhile, confirmed coronavirus cases in Bangladesh have reached 204,525 with the detection of 2,459 more cases in the past 24 hours till Sunday.
Besides, 37 more people lost their battle against the deadly virus during the period to bring the total fatalities to 2,618.
Of the new deceased, 29 are men and eight are women.
Among the total dead, 2,069 or 79.03 percent are men and 559 or 20.97 are women.
