Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has expressed sorrow over shooting three Bangladeshi nationals to death along Naogaon border.
It expressed the sorrow at a commander-level meeting with Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) held at the no-man’s land near No 231 main pillar on Thursday afternoon.
Commanding officer of Naogaon 16 BGB Battalion Lt Col Ariful Haque and 159 BSF commander Harsha Jesy led the respective sides at the meeting.
Ariful Haque said BSF admitted the killing of the three Bangladeshis and expressed sorrow over the incident.
Protesting the incident, BGB urged BSF so that such incident does not occur again.
BSF said the bodies of Ranjit Kumar and Kamal Hossain will be handed over to Bangladesh through due legal process.
The three Bangladeshi nationals were killed by BSF members along Naogaon’s Porsha border on Thursday.
