The US is on the verge of becoming the first country in the world to have registered over 1 lakh deaths from coronavirus.
On Monday, the country reported 505 more deaths from COVID-19 to take the tally to 99,805.
Besides, it has 1,706,226 confirmed coronavirus cases.
Currently, 1,141,751 patients are under treatment while 464,670 have already made recovery.
Meanwhile, the global death toll from coronavirus has reached 347,907 as of Tuesday morning.
Besides, it has so far infected 5,590,358 people around the world, according to Worldometer.
Of the currently infected 2,875,877 patients, 2,822,710 are in mild condition while 53,167 are in serious or critical condition.
So far, 2,366,574 people have made recovery from the disease in different countries.
The US is the worst-hit country with highest deaths and coronavirus cases in the world -- 99,805 and 1,706,226 -- respectively.
Coronavirus is affecting over 213 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances.
The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11.
Bangladesh has so far confirmed 35,585 cases and 501 deaths.
