The global death toll from the coronavirus or COVID-19 has jumped to 53,200 as of Friday.
It has so far infected 1,015,667 people around the world, according to worldometer.
Of them, 749,476 are currently being treated with 37,646 being in serious or critical condition.
So far, 266,191 cases had outcomes and of them, 212,991 recovered.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh has so far reported 56 confirmed cases of coronavirus.
Of them, 24 are currently under treatment while six have died and 26 others already made recovery.
Coronavirus, first reported in China in December last year, is affecting 204 countries and territories around the world and two international cruise ships.
The World Health Organization on March 11 declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic.
