Some 488,838 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus across the world in the last 24 hours till 10am on Monday to take the total to 54,817,106.
Besides, virus-related deaths have jumped to 1,324,457, including 6,181 reported during the period, around the world, according to data collated by tracking website Worldometer.
Of the currently infected 15,354,130 patients, 15,255,303 are in mild condition while 98,827 are in serious or critical condition.
So far, 38,138,519 people have made recovery from the disease in different countries.
The US is the worst-hit country with highest cases and deaths in the world at 11,366,379 and 251,832 respectively while India has 2nd highest cases of 8,845,617 and third highest fatalities of 130,109 and Brazil has 2nd highest deaths of 165,811 and third highest cases of 5,863,093.
Bangladesh has so far confirmed 432,333 cases and 6,194 deaths from coronavirus.
Coronavirus has affected 216 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances.
