Coronavirus has been found in the bodies of two more Bangladeshi workers in Singapore.
The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) confirmed it on Thursday.
Earlier, two more Bangladeshi workers were also identified as infected with the deadly virus in Singapore.
Of the two freshly infected Bangladeshis, IEDCR director Prof Meerjady Sabrina Flora said the first person was undergoing treatment at the ICU while the second person get infected with the virus as he was in contact with the first person.
She also said the Singapore government has quarantined 19 people who were in contact with the two infected persons and 10 of them are Bangladeshis.
Flora said all the Bangladeshis were infected in Singapore as they were working there where some other people were also identified as infected with the various. “It’s certain that they (Bangladeshis) were infected with coronavirus in Singapore.”
She said they have so far tested the samples of 61 suspected people in the country, but the coronavirus has not been found in the bodies of any of them.
